The ferry ride is also something visitors can't miss.

Shisanhang Museum is the first archaeological museum in northern Taiwan. The architecture is of great features inspired by archaeological excavations and the voyage of our ancestors to Taiwan. In addition to permanent exhibitions (i.e. "Return to Shisanhang" which is divided into six units) that preserve, display and illustrate the archaeological findings in Shisanhang ruin (e.g. the most representative artifacts - ‘human face pottery pots'), there are learning experience room, special exhibition area, lecture hall, stores and restaurants. Moreover, It showcases the special "Time Chair". Tour guide mechanism provides lively and diverse courses and environment. Guanyin Mountain is located among Tamsui, Bali and Wugu with an attitude of 612 meters above sea. There is a Tough Man Hill at the peak which is a must-see spot for hikers. There are 18 small hills crouching around Guanyin Mountain. Guanyin Mountain got the name from resembling image of the Guanyin Buddha lying on his side if looking from Taipei Basin or Tamsui. Guanyin Mountain is usually covered by ever-changing clouds and fog and is one of the 8 views in northern Tamsui which used to be "Xi Hill Breathing Fog". By looking to the distance from the peak, mountains, hills afar or the basin, plateau and coastal plain close by come into view. The winding silk like Tamsui River and the dark green volcano reflect with the sky-blue sea. Not many views as breathtaking as the one here can be found in the world.
