Museums

New Taipei City has a rich collection of museums, each with its own distinct domain and unique features. The Yingge Ceramics Museum is focused on the pottery and ceramics that the area is famous for, while the Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology showcases the archaeology of the Bali area, and the Tamsui Historical Museum is devoted to the preservation of cultural assets.

The Gold Museum highlights Taiwan’s historical mining-industry culture, the Museum of World Religions is centered on the globe’s major religions, and the Juming Museum is devoted to sculpture. New Taipei City is also home to small cultural-arts exhibition centers with a wide variety of themes that include glove-puppet theatre, coal mining, tea culture, indigenous culture, and Hakka culture.

The educational and promotional activities and exhibitions at these museums and culture/arts centers provide citizens with a wide range of cultural and arts experiences to enjoy.
