Introduction
The grand opening of "A Mid Summer Night's Dream of New Taipei City" will be presented on the music stage of Renai Park in Yonghe. The show targets different ranges of age groups with different theme activities including Campus Folk Song Concert, Remembering the Old Songs Concert, Children's Fantasy World, and A Night of Traditional Chinese Opera Classics. By inviting outstanding performing groups to participate, the organizer hopes to shape the unique arts and cultural characteristics of the area while fostering habits of art appreciation and attending public cultural events. In addition to that, they also hope that through these activities, the public is able to experience the unique charm and passion of New Taipei City. With the showering of music, dances and dramas, the cultural seeds of New Taipei City will take root and via the accumulation of art performances these seeds will grow into sweet and juicy fruit.
About the activity
1. Campus Folk Song Concert on July 28 (Saturday) 19:00
"Folk Songs" are a shared memory for people born in the 60s and 70s. It is a music genre that people are familiar with and fond of. Singers singing in the first performance include Wang Hai-Lin, Li Li-Feng, Li Ming-de, Nanfang Duet, Tai Zhao-Mei and the Golden Melody Awards "Best Female Singer" - Xu Jing-Chun. As if going back to the old times, Campus Folk Songs connect shared memories, and the stories remind all the time when young people fought for the future.
2. Remembering the Old songs Concert on July 29th (Sunday) 19:00
The touching melodies of the old songs will take us through a corridor in time, and following the beautiful singing of Huang Si-Ting, Lin Song-Yi, Huang Fei, Kang Ya-Lan, Yuan Xiao-Di, Long Qian-Yu, we are brought back to that age of innocence we were once familiar with to enjoy the melodies that accompanied us through our adolescence and brought us joy. Through reliving that age of innocence and enjoying those moments, the concert manifests friendliness in Taiwan.
3. Children's Fantasy World on August 11 (Saturday) 19:00
Brought to you by MOMO Kids TV's professional group under the leadership of the popular Lemon Brother and Puff Sister, children and parents experience the abundant passion of the performers up close in person with everyone singing and dancing together. The next show brought by "Hyper Kids" is a multi-element show. It combines children's drama, games and dolls. It is indeed the best choice for parents and children to enjoy a happy midsummer night together.
4. A Night of Traditional Chinese Opera Classics on August 12 (Sunday) 19:00
The organizer has Invited the world-renowned "Liao Wen-He Hand Puppet Troupe" to bring you a show of timeless operas. The troupe was established in the 60s when TV was not yet popular. Many people were attracted to their show whether indoors or outdoors. Later with the rise of TV, the goal of the troupe shifted to bringing new aspects to their shows. Their shows always attract a packed audience and their outstanding performance always rocks!
