We invite you all to come and experience the passion of Shulin Red Yeast Rice Culture and the local charms.

Shulin has enjoyed the reputation of "Hometown of Hongqyu Wine (red wine) in Taiwan" and "Hometown of Red Yeast Rice of Taiwan". It is not only the most precious historical asset of Shulin but also the feature that attracts many visitors to Shulin every year. By combining the derivative products of red yeast rice, local tourist attractions, relics and convenient access, the government aims to provide visitors to Shulin District with a rich feast of both history and delicious foods.

1. Happy New Taipei City - I Love the Hometown of Red Yeast Rice

Let's talk about history: in order for the next generation of Shulin to fully understand their precious asset - red yeast rice - so that they may pass it on to their descendents, project "I Love Hometown of Red Yeast Rice", targeting kindergarten and elementary school students has been designed. Through introduction by professionals, scholars and the senior citizens of Shulin and with the aid of lively and interesting teaching materials and information, children may learn the history, development and future of red yeast rice from games.

2. Visiting Shulin - A Relaxing Trip to Local Attractions

The government has designed many themed tourist routes in Shulin, and Shulin touriing buses are available for visitors. Moreover, with the accompaniment of professional tour guides as well as the introduction by tour counselors and the aid of the booklet "Tourism guide to Shulin Red Yeast Rice", the government aims to throw out a minnow to catch a whale in promoting local tourism in Shulin.

3. Fun at the Shulin Red Yeast Rice Carnival

Centering on the specialties of Shulin and combining them with the local cultural and human landscapes, the government makes the best use of the local industries and cultural resources of Shulin to bring out the human, cultural and industrial features of Shulin.
